  1. Is it safe to leave my Sky Box on standby?

    Your Sky Box has been designed to ensure it is safe to be left on standby at all times.

    It is useful to leave your Sky Box plugged in as from time to time updated software is sent to your Sky Box from the satellite, providing you with Sky's latest services or functions. These updates are not possible if your box is unplugged.

  3. What is included in a standard install (UK)?

    A standard install will cover 2 hours labour for 2 engineers and up to 40 metres of cable.

    Equipment included is one Sky Box, one zone 2 dish and one LNB pack.

    If your install cannot be completed within this time or non-standard equipment is required, extra costs will need to be authorised on the day of the installation.

    A member of the installation department will contact you to confirm the additional costs and seek authorisation for these costs from you, and/or the job may be changed to a site survey.

  4. What is included in a standard HD installation?

    A standard HD install will cover 2 hours 30 minutes labour for 2 engineers and up to 20 metres of cable.

    Equipment included is one Sky+HD Box, one zone two dish, one quad LNB (providing that none of this equipment has been previously supplied).

    If your installation cannot be completed within this time or non-standard equipment is required, extra costs will need to be authorised on the day of the installation, and/or the job may be changed to a site survey.

    A member of the installation department will contact you to confirm the additional costs and seek authorisation for these costs from you.

  5. What is included in an extended install (UK)?

    An extended install will cover 4 hours labour for 2 engineers and up to 70 metres of cable.

    Equipment included is one Sky Box, one zone 2 dish and one LNB pack.

    If your install cannot be completed within this time, the engineers will advise you if they require to complete a site survey. The site survey is chargeable and a quote will be forwarded to you to advise how much the installation will cost.

    If non-standard equipment is required to complete your installation, you will be contacted on the day of the installation to authorise any additional costs.

    A member of the installation department will contact to confirm the additional costs and seek authorisation for these costs from you.

  6. What is included in an extended HD installation?

    An extended HD install will cover 4 hours labour for 2 engineers and up to 70 metres of cable.

    If applicable equipment included is one Sky+ HD Box, one zone two dish and one quad LNB (providing that none of this equipment has been previously supplied).

    If your installation cannot be completed within this time, the engineers will advise you if they need to complete a site survey. The site survey is chargeable, and a quote will be forwarded to you to advise how much the installation will cost.

    If non-standard equipment is required to complete your installation, you will be contacted on the day of installation to authorise any additional costs.

  7. Is extended warranty available for my Sky Box?

    Unfortunately we do not currently have an extended warranty promotion in place.
