As part of Sky’s commitment to create a pricing structure that allows more pubs to benefit from Sky at a price that better reflects the value of live sport to individual premises, Sky today announces that it will be introducing deeper food discounts and a new location-based discount for pubs in the UK. In addition, commercial subscriptions will now be available on the basis of a 30 day minimum term contract to help pubs enjoy more flexibility over their Sky subscription.
The changes have been designed to help make Sky more affordable to a greater number of commercial premises while making sure existing customers pay a price which is fair and proportionate to the business benefit they enjoy from having Sky.
The changes include:
-
Increasing the food discounts available to premises with discounts of up to 30% being available for premises serving food.
-
Introducing a location-based discount which is based on the population density of the area in which the premise falls. These location-based discounts also offer up to an additional 30% discount off a full commercial subscription
-
Introducing a new 30-day contract which means that new customers can join Sky and trial the impact of live sport without committing to a 12 month contract, as has previously been required.
Sky continues to drive more value into its customers’ subscriptions by offering new and innovative products to the trade, all designed to help customers maximise the benefit of a Sky subscription.
In addition Sky offers the following added value:
-
Free Sky 3D for Sky Ultimate customers
-
A second viewing card at no additional charge to their Sky Ultimate customers
-
WiFi and the HD pack to all Sky customers at no additional charge.
-
PreviewLIVE continues to add value to customer’s subscriptions by giving them downloadable weekly POS supporting live sports events plus team specific POS for their local club to help them engage with the local community..
-
Twitter news and support via @SkyPreviewLIVE or @SkySportsPub - designed to help drive footfall into licensees premises.
-
From March 2012 the Sky Sports F1TM HDchannel will launch at no additional charge to all Sky Ultimate customers.
Iain Holden, Managing Director of Sky Business, comments: ‘We are committed to giving our customers great value for money while helping them grow their businesses. Part of this journey is to create a fairer pricing structure which makes Sky more affordable to a greater number of customers ensuring they pay a price that better reflects the value Sky offers to their particular circumstances. The year ahead will be the best ever for live sport on Sky with more football, cricket and rugby than ever before, all in HD, and more stunning 3D on Europe’s leading 3D sports service. And, of course, Sky Sports becomes the new home of F1 from next season too, so there’s never been a better time to use live sport to drive business.”
